Officine M.T.M. S.p.A. and ACIER FATI steel – Canada consolidate their partnership with the third tube mill commisioned

ACIER FATI STEEL Inc has commissioned the third complete mill to Officine M.T.M. S.p.A. to be installed into their existing plant in Varennes, Quebec. The division serves the needs of the automotive, agriculture, appliance, building and construction, energy and machinery industries.

Officine M.T.M. S.p.A. scope of supply includes the design, supply and commissioning of the mill, from entry coil handling to tubes forming, welding, orbital cutting and automatic packaging, that will be capable to produce max OD 168,3mm x WT 7,1mm. The advanced line will be dedicated to produce unexposed steel grades, as well as other commercial and specialized steel grades.



The partnership between the 2 Companies began in 2009 when FATI having no experience in producing ERW tubes, needed more than just a machinery, they needed a partner that could also provide with proficient training in transferring the technical know-how on the production of high-quality tubing.

The commissioning of this third line to Officine M.T.M is the proof of the positive and solid collaboration built through the years.
